Overview:
The North Country Lax Camp (NCLC) is designed to improve players both on and off the field by encouraging athletes to become more passionate about the sport while learning that the game is just one piece of the active lacrosse lifestyle. Hosted at the beautiful Hotchkiss School in the northwest corner of Connecticut, NCLC campers will balance their days playing lacrosse with exciting outdoor adventures. Highlights include:
Lacrosse instruction from the top minds in the game
Adventure sessions (hiking, river swim, other sports games)
Fresh food from The Hotchkiss School's incredible dining hall team
Overnight accommodations in The Hotchkiss School boarding dorms
Grow as a player and a person
Overnight Campers:
Drop-off: SUNDAY, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ The Hotchkiss School.
Pick-up: THURSDAY, 12:00 PM @ the fields (overnight gear will be brought here as well...weather permitting)
Transportation NOT available to/from any airport.
Registration includes: all on and off field instruction, games, extra help, breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon snacks, adventure sessions, pinnies, water bottle, entertainment activities at the dorms.
Day Campers:
FIELD LOCATION: 48 Interlaken Rd, Lakeville, CT 06039
Drop-off/Check in: Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM @ Fields.
Pick-Up/Check out: Monday-Thursday 5:00 PM @ Fields.
Registration includes: all on and off field instruction, games, extra help, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, adventure sessions, pinnies.
Supervison:
Background checks for all staff members
Camper to Coach ratio of 8:1
All coaches on-site at dorm facility
On-site Athletic Trainer
Emergency Medical Plan & Evacuation Plan
Group Placement:
Players are initially grouped by age, then moved according to size and ability
Cancelation Policy:
60+ days: 90% / 30+ days: 50% / 14+ days: 25%
On or After Camp Check-In Date: No Refund Will Be Given (0% refund)
Housing:
Overnight Camper Housing: The Hotchkiss School dorms
Amenities: A/C and bathrooms in every room, outdoor pool, mini lax and lawn games.
The dorms have twin beds available
Each room will be assigned as a single, double or triple depending on how many twin beds are in that specific room.
Campers may request roommates when they register. Please note that there is no guarantee that your son or daughter will be assigned to a room with their requested roommates.
Please submit up to 2 roommate requests when you register.
Bed sheets and pillows included. Campers should bring their own blanket, bath & pool towels.
Coaches will do room checks before lights out each night.
Food:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in The Hotchkiss School dining hall facility.
Snacks will be served at the fields.
